The following is a reference letter for Mr. Richard Liu. 

My name is Patrick Goggins and I spent two weeks in Beijing China and several other cities in September 2003. 

Prior to my trip I search the internet looking for a guide in Beijing China who spoke English that I could use while I was in China. I found Mr. Richard Liu on the internet and checked out his references on his web site. I called several of the persons he had as references and spend many hours talking to his references across the country. I found all of his references spoke very highly of Mr. Liu and his abilities. I then contacted Mr. Liu and planned my trip to China using Mr. Liu as my guide. I emailed Mr. Liu prior to my trip with what I wanted to see and do while I was in China. We planned a lot of the details of the trip via the emails we sent to each other prior to my actual trip to China. 

After spending two weeks in China with Mr. Liu as my guide I am happy to say that I found Mr. Liu to be a very honest and trustworthy person with high morals. His English is exceptional and we had no problem communicating with each other at any level. He is very dependable, timely and resourceful. He is very patient and understanding of our American culture and way of life. 

While I was in China I also used a group tour and went on my own a couple of days. I found the tour group was not the way to go for me because they are always on a tight schedule. If you want to spend more time at a site you can’t because of the schedule. You also don’t have a one on one for your questions. With Mr. Liu you have as much time as you need at each site and have a one on one relationship that you can’t have with a tour group. With Mr. Liu whatever you want to see or do you just ask and he will take care of it. Mr. Liu is like traveling with your brother and is a very comfortable relationship. 

My trip to China without Mr. Liu as my guide would not have been as successful and I would have not learned as much about China and its culture. With a tour group you only see what they show you and go where they take you. 

I highly recommend Mr. Liu and I will use Mr. Liu again when I go back to China in the future.
